      <image:title>Work - Parabolic Traces</image:title>
<image:caption>episode gallery Exhibition view On the solo exhibition and series Parabolic Traces (2025): After the passing of her grandfather in fall 2023, Lee’s anticipated loss of her grandmother intensified over the years. Reflecting on mortality as a human condition, the Parabolic Traces series begins with photographs from Lee’s personal photo archive, such as screenshots of digital interactions with her grandmother. Lee integrates these photographs with ephemeral moments marking the passage of time such as the sunset seen across the Brooklyn Bridge in a subway. Within the compressed time and space mediated by screens and signals, these digitized experiences and experience of distance are woven first handwoven, rephotographed, and later applied to glass. Unaffected by gravity, digitized photos circulate through electric signals, unlike the human body that decays over time. In this series, Lee applies visual glitches and distortions with heat to these photographic glass bodies. Facing the pedestrians under the elongated summer light in Brooklyn, New York, the work invites visitors to consider what it means to exist in a body, to connect with another being, and how being extends through memory.</image:caption>
